My final 90-page bachelor thesis was titled ‘Like it or Not | On the Influence of Algorithmic Hyperrealities on Virtual Interpersonal Relationships’. In it, I explored how ranking algorithms shape human connection in virtually mediated spaces. As a real-life case study of algorithmic human sorting, I focused on the dating app Hinge.
